🙂 I finally got to catch up with Char!! It’s been a while. A few days later…we even worked together 😉 Well sorta!! Check out her awesome accessories and jewelry store in Central!!
Hi Char! 🙂 Char suggested an awesome new Vietnamese restaurant in Lee Gardens in Causeway Bay (it’s occupying the space that Lawry’s vacated)…when we first got there…it was completely packed, so we decided to venture else where.
To SUSHI TAKE (post)!! 🙂 For some really expensive but amazing white wine… 😉 Hahaha We didn’t really want to eat such a big omakase meal….so we went back to An Nam at 8:30pm which was our previous reservation! 😉 An Nam is spacious and big. Long, dark wooden tables and chairs, in a contemporary, colonial style interior with high ceilings and stunning teal colored decor line up the restaurant. Its authentic Vietnamese cooking in a simple elegant setting!
We sipped on Coconut Juice. I’ve been in LOVEEEEE with Coconut water…since SF (post)! I’ve been chugging that like no other! 😉
Barbequed Pork w/ Bun Vermicelli HK$108. The trio of char grilled pork, pork meatballs and vermicelli was perfect! Perfectly grilled, succulent, juicy and well seasoned!! Mmmmm…
Vegetable medly in a nice hot pot! 🙂 The soup broth was fragrant and flavorful! Warmed us both right up!
An Nam roasted chicken HK$168 soaked in soy sauce, onions, garlic, fish sauce and honey for three hours was really awesome, succulent and juicy, but the glory was the perfectly fried glutinous rice cakes with a crispness similar to french fries…but a mushy, gooey, moist amazing rice cake center!
We ordered a beef noodle pho, but it never came! I’ll definitely be back at this upscale modern blend of French and Vietnamese style-Hué-style food!
