Casual Japanese home cooking at Ajitomi 味十味 in CWB

We went to Ajitomi 味十味 in CWB for some comforting and casual Japanese home cooking. This small restaurant is on the 7th floor of the very busy Circle Tower in Tang Lung Street. The majority of the staff are Japanese and they serve everything from skewers, curries, pastas to stone pot rice dishes.

We started with a small starter of a tomato and onion salad, HK$98. The salad was nice, light and refreshing. I loved the mix of spicy peppercorns with the sweet and fresh tomatoes.

We also ordered a small bottle of sake (300ml) for HK$190 to go with our meal.

The small amuse was served right as we sat down but when we got the bill- they actually charge you HK$40 for it.

For all of the yakitori/skewer items, you have to order a minimum of 2 skewers. 

Their grilled ox tongue, HK$74 for 2 pieces. I loved the hearty & chewy texture of the grilled ox tongue.

The tsukune, HK$68 for 2 pieces.

My favorite hands down was their special Pork meatballs with cheese, HK$84 for 2 pieces. The pork meatballs were so flavorful, juicy and delicious. They are HUGE though. Don’t get fooled by this picture. Eating just one  of the meatballs was already really filling.

2 pieces of their grilled chicken skewers for HK$68.

In case you wanted to look at the difference in size! Pork meatballs were the BIG winner.

Last but not least was the uni and pumpkin creamy pasta for HK$146. This was my least favorite dish of the night. I ordered wrong with this one. I couldn’t taste much of the uni or pumpkin flavor. Will come back though to get their skewers and try their other special pasta dishes. The whole bill came out to be just under HK$900 for 2 people.
