Cooking Class at Sri Panwa Phuket

Cooking Class at Sri Panwa Phuket was such a fun experience! This time Travel with Jess is off to Phuket!! Lots of posts on beautiful Phuket, Thailand will be coming your way. Gonna have to say the blogger/KOL lifestyle is not too shabby 😉 We were situated at the Sri Panwa resort on the Southeastern tip of Phuket. Phuket has some of the most beautiful and popular beaches in Thailand. Thank you again for your top notch service Sri Panwa Resort.

The private cooking class was such a cool experience where you can make certain Thai classics of your choosing. They have different menu selections for you to choose from ranging from 2, 3 or 4 dishes as well as in 30 min, 60 min or in 90 min increments. We went with the 3 dish selection in a 60 min private class which will set you back 2400 Baht (roughly HK$529, or US$68) which is quite a great deal for private cooking classes!!!! #Thaifoodforthewin

Yes….feast your eyes on my masterpieces!! Okay, I know they aren’t masterpieces….but I made that!? I MADE THAT THOSE. Let that linger for a moment… #stillshockedandslightlyimpressedbeyondbelief

Clean, simple table set up for us to cook away. Making the dishes were actually super fast. The long part of any type of cooking is definitely the prep work (which Sri Panwa Resort nicely did for us already!)

My favorite dish throughout my entire trip was this delicious Thai classic called Laab Ped (sometimes spelled larb ped). I had this dish pretty much at every single meal. Gosh was it fantastic!! Sri Panwa was nice enough to let me substitute one of their set dishes for this amazing dish. Laab Ped is a well seasoned, spicy and flavorful type of minced duck meat mixed in with various herbs and spices. They added fried garlic and fried shallots to bring an extra crunch and texture which I LOVEEEEEEEEED! Definitely a must order. Careful though-there’s quite a bit of heat to it.

Another look at this beautiful creation!!! <3 Then add some basil leafs and dried red peppers to add some pop and color for plating.

Next up was the Drunken Shrimp dish! Juicy, big and plump shrimps cooking away.

The fresh, flavorful and healthy Drunken Shrimp dish. This was definitely the healthiest of the bunch. The ingredient list for Drunken Shrimp was a lot more simple.

Lastly was the Red Curry Duck dish!! Sooooo awesome figuring out how to make this sweet, creamy and spicy curry dish. Coconut milk was generously added and that did not disappoint.

This was such an awesome experience. Make sure you do it if you ever go to Sri Panwa Phuket #Superthankfulandblessed
