David Yurman Show & Luncheon

So, as you know…

I’ve been on sort of a health kick. Exercising more and eating better. And, there have been some tremendous rewards. I feel better.

So as you may (or may not know) before a big event…Like my previous Hennessy Artistry Post...I tend to eat healthier! So lets look at some recent eats…

Home made– Brocolli & Pumpkin Mash- My famous, favorite, and fast concoctions to make! Wash, chop, season (garlic salt, pepper, & soy sauce) in a steaming hot pan!! Boil it all together…and your good to go! Takes less than 10 minutes for prep and clean time! My type of meal πŸ™‚

For Dinner, I’ll whip up some more veggies to eat! Fine. My jie did. Another fast and easy meal! Fish cakes, been curds and broccoli’s…season it…easy peasy. πŸ˜‰

There are endless healthy choices- so eating out can be easy too!

Ended up at Oolaa’s ...and chose one of their healthier options! (It CAN be done) I love their Glazed Soy Salmon with cauliflower mash, roasted veggies, snow peas $180- One of my favorite salmon’s out there actually. The portion at Oolaa’s is big (American sized BIG). The fish is tender, juicy, and slightly pink in the center. The soy glaze candies the outside…melting a soy, Asian tang perfectly into each bite. And the cauliflower mash….tastes just like buttered mashed potatoes. (I’m sure its not too far from it) πŸ˜‰

DAY of SHOW!

I wake up REALLY ridiculously early, naturally. It’s just one of those things… I WISH i could change that but I cant. Nonetheless- made it to the gym…in the wee hour…..and the sun wasn’t even up and out yet. Surprisingly there were loads of early birds running about! πŸ™‚ Good to know. Next time I’ll go check out EMP if I’m up that early. πŸ™‚

BREAKFAST TIME

Pret-A Manger Hot Sandwiches!! Usually I’m just a toast or eggs or fruits…or (you get the idea) person in the morning…but I decided to get the ‘Norwegian Salmon Hot Sandwich‘- Hot smoked salmon, with basil pesto, and melted cheddar cheese…all melded into two thick pieces of Multi-grain toasts! πŸ™‚ Hmmmm…maybe I should get that for breakfast later today? πŸ˜‰

A ‘Vanilla Latte w/ skim milk’ at Starbucks and some Ryan Blair inspiring kindle reading (I overestimated the time…had over an hour before having to arrive! Always better to be early!)

All the way atop the gorgeous Four Seasons in Central…I could finally see the top of the IFC building!

POST SHOW MEAL!

I only had a small bowl of veggies and fried rice for lunch…so I was starving when the show ended…

ζ­£ζ–— (Tasty Congee & Noodle Wontons)…I LOVEEEE this stuff…It’s literally a plate of pork…tendons! But It’s delicious!! Along with two plates of radish cakes!! I did split some of the food. PROMISE! πŸ˜‰ Thanks for keeping me company!!!

For dinner…I had pizza (devoured before a picture could be captured…I’ve been doing a LOT of that recently. Hmmmm)…!!! And then finished off with my favorite… a fro yo from Red Mango w/ all the fruit works <3

Keep dreaming…. πŸ™‚ The more it scares you. The better.
