Bread Basket hidden in the middle 🙂 I didn’t even realize I forgot to take a picture of the bread basket!
Tonchon of Duck Foie Gras, Tomatoes Chutney, Aged Balsamic & Five Spiced Brioche Bread- Okay….So something strange has happened. I was never really fond of foie gras before. I would NEVER order it. But recently (due to hungry girl symptoms) I have been eating more and more foie gras. The tomato chutney was fruity, sweet, and tarty…a perfect coating over the fine foie gras. Smeared atop the light brioche bread….a delicious starter! LOVED it.
Chicken Consomme, Chicken Mousse & Shipped Chives- This was a clear broth that was light yet flavorful. A strong blend of chicken broth 🙂 Only problem was that it was served warm.
Seared Mediterranean Sea Bass, White Wine, Mussels, & Capsicum Stew- I ordered the Sea Bass, It was fine, firm, juicy, tender, and soft. Over a fun blend of tomatoes, mussels and pumpkin mix! (OH JOY! I love pumpkins). The bass itself was flavorless. But scooped in with the veggie packed tomato based blend…MMMMMM 🙂
Wagyu Beef Cheek Ravioli, Wild Rocket, Shaved Black Truffle & Light Truffle Sauce- Gavin Wiesen, the director of ‘Art of Getting By’ sat next to me and was so inspiring and helpful (offering me his plate to feature in my blog! Thanks!!!! It was great meeting and chatting with you! Enjoy your stay in HK!) This looked SOOO good. And, smelled heavenly. Everyone who ordered this…inhaled it all. :/
Dessert Surprise 😀 I like it. Surprised I was. A fruit blend, passion fruit sherbet, and brownie almond cake! I (almost) finished everything off! The brownie cake had large chunks of nuts. It was moist, crunchy and chocolate-y. Haven’t had a brownie in a while…and this definitely hit the brownie cravings! Big time 😀
Last but not least…..
Cissy Jie and Twilight Actress Elizabeth Reaser! I grew up watching the Twilight films. 🙂 So it was such a pleasure meeting and chatting with her!!
AND LILY COLLINS!!!!! She was so sweet, nice and pretty! Must say….I was pretty excited to meet her! Thanks Cissy Jie 😀 <3
A great reminder. That’s right. It’s never too late…
