Lawry’s Prime Rib in Hong Kong!!! The prime rib cut is one of the most tender, moist and flavorful part of the cow. The tenderness, fattiness and juiciness is off the charts (but more on that later.) I finally went to Lawry’s Prime Rib in Hong Kong and was delighted by how nostalgic it made me feel. It feels like I’m back in the States (even for a brief moment!) House of Prime Rib in San Fran is another favorite of mine for prime rib. I always make sure to get my fill when I go to SF. 🙂
Look at this amazing thing in all of it’s beautiful glory. The prime rib just soaking up all of that au jus sauce and flavor. Drooling and craving for this again.
Bloody Mary (my kind of poison!) The refreshing tart-y tomato juice, splash of Worcestershire sauce, a kick of Tabasco sauce, a dash of salt, a sprinkle of pepper, and a whole lotta Vodka. #bestcocktailever
I love it when my bread comes out piping hot with a crunchy and crispy outside.
I loved the decadent lobster bisque for HK$100 (US$13) #myfavesoup <3 The strong, thick and comforting soup was bursting with taste. It had a fragrant aroma of white wine, creamy melted butter, and plump lobster pieces (for days, okay…not days…but you get my drift.)
I always like the spinning salad that comes with the prime rib. Crisp veggies, sweet bits of beets and crunchy croutons which made this salad anything but boring. We were already starting to get a bit full though. Uh oh, we still had a big feast coming.
Oh gosh. I have to include a picture of the whipped cream horseradish. They offered two of their signature horseradish sauce that had a spicy kick (just imagine yourself getting punched in the face- the good kind. Is there even a good kind?) But seriously…so goooooooooooood.
THE LAWRY’S CUT will set you back HK$595 (US$78) but just look at that marvelous piece!!!!! Bone-in. Always get Bone-in. This gigantic prime rib cut was everything (
and then some) I wanted and wished it would be. Juicy for days. Tender as hell. Fatty and full of flavor. They were very generous in their serving size. It’s bigger than my face. I also have to say the service was excellent. Cindy, who was our server was polite, attentive and more than accommodating!
YORKSHIRE PUDDING! Look at this golden brown, fluffy and puffy piece of loveliness.
An additional order of this oh so sweet creamed corn for us all to share! It looks like a small helping (but trust me, there’s a lot.)
Lawry’s The Prime Rib…you have stolen my heart. I shall be back for some more prime rib goodness. Till next time.
