Liu Yuan Pavilion 留園雅敘

Liu Yuan Pavilion 留園雅敘 is located in a bustling foodie tower in Wan Chai. Liu Yuan is known for their delectable Shanghainese food! And if you know me, I’m a Shanghai GIRL! Behold a portion of the food we ordered. There’s a lot so I didn’t get a chance to photograph all of it.

生煎包. One of my favorite things, period. These babies are sooooo good. I love the crunchy, crispy bottom and the juicy and flavorful pork-y filling. If we didn’t order so much food, I could eat these ALL up.

These are another Shanghainese delicacy. The outside is a sweet flat type of bun sandwiching a crispy fried bean curd and salty ham filling. I love the texture and mix of sweet and savory flavors with this dish.

SOOO BOMB! A must get here. This is a super sized crab with soy sauce glutinous rice!! I wish I had two stomachs because then I could really do some damage here.

Sweet and Sour deep fried fish. The way and technique of making this dish is superb leaving the fish’ skin crispy and crunchy and the plump fish meat soft and tender.

Love this deep fried crunchy EEL dish!!! The stickiness, crispiness and sweetness is one of the best things about this dish.

SPIC-AY!!! Spicy stir fry beef with lots and lots of chili peppers!

Silken tofu with hairy crab! This is terrific. Scoop it over a hot bowl of rice and you are set.

🙂 Eat up! Wish I took pictures of all our dishes at our family feast but will definitely take more next time I go! Its also in the same building as Che’s Dim Sum (another yummy dim sum family restaurant spot!)
