My many delicious meals at Alila Villas Uluwatu

I can’t say enough what an incredible trip to Bali this was. Thank you for the terrific accommodations Alila Villa Uluwatu 🙂 I can’t wait to come back. Since eatwithjess is most importantly a food blog…let’s talk about all the incredible meals we had during our stay.

For those who haven’t read my Resort tour of Alila Villas Uluwatu…you must do so here!

KK and I had a meal (or two) every single day at the resorts Indonesian restaurant: The Warung. Look at that incredible spread… my mouth is drooling.

This sweet and savoury slow cooked pork belly was to die for. The pork belly was fatty, rich and tender. It was close to melt in your mouth texture which was terrific!

The excitement of waiting for our meals at The Warung. We always chose to sit outside and take in the view of the Indian Ocean.

The best Mie Goreng we’ve both had in a long, long time. The sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and salty and packed such a punch! We loveddddd this.

The Indonesian salad gado-gado which can be referred to as lotek is a medley of steamed or boiled vegetables, soft boiled eggs, tofu and more mixed all together with a dangerously addictive peanut sauce dressing!

SATAYS for the win. We always ordered an assortment of satays and boy were they good. It’s paired with a yummy sauce but you can even eat the satay sticks by itself and it’s already enough.

I loveeeeed this sweet grass jelly & coconut milk drink. The Warung did a variation of the Indonesian dessert drink: Es Cincau Hijau.

Mornings were fantastic. We started every day with a delicious spread of breakfast options at Cire- the Western restaurant at the resort. We would follow breakfast with a daily morning swim in the main pool. 🙂 So relaxing.

KK and I tried this unforgettable cocktail making class experience during sunset. 🙂 More on that later. It’s only available through special request though!

Love is in the air. <3 That’s the name of the cocktail. 😉

We also had a very romantic and private candle light dinner at one of the cabana areas. Everything about it was…magical. 🙂
