We stayed at the Westin in Napa for C & L’s wedding and I woke up around 5am! Yikes. The horrible-ness of jet lag. I went for a quick 30 minute workout and worked on the laptop. Breakfast at the hotel didn’t start until 8am…so there was definitely some wait. Stomach was growling.
At 8am: the hotel restaurant was finally (rejoice) opened and we went down to grab some grub! Breakfast at the Westin is a la carte so we ordered two brunch plates and shared everything. Some juice and COFFEE (always) to go along with this BIG breakfast.
We split the Buttermilk fried chicken and buckwheat waffles, US$14. FRIED CHICKEN for breakfast! I can’t possibly do this every day. But on holiday…why not! 😉
Along w/ the dungeness crab omelet w/ leek, potato, fontina cheese, hollandaise, breakfast potatoes, US$28. I really enjoyed this. Loads of decadent crab meat with a great mix of leek, potatoes and CHHEEEEESEEEE inside.
After demolishing a very big breakfast – we had some time before hitting the wineries and Bouchon for lunch (post coming soon!) We decided to walk over to Oxbow Public Market. A great public market with a little bit of everything- a grocery store, spices, crafts, arts, cheeses, meats, wines and soooo much more.
