New BBQ Ribs Joint in K Town: The Ribcage recently opened up in Kennedy Town to some rave reviews. It’s a small hole in the wall on the corner of Smithfield Street but what’s inside is pretty darn amazing. Meat lovers in Kennedy Town can easily get take-out from this (currently) ribs and fries only joint. The menu doesn’t really offer anything else. But what they lack for in quantity (in their menu) they make up for it in quality.
We had just finished dinner but something was still missing. Originally we wanted to just come to The Ribcage in the first place but thought “they only have ribs and fries…we might not be full,” but boy were we wrong. We still ended up coming here and we were definitely satisfied.
I loveeeed their freshly made fries with cajun spices, HK$38 (you can opt for fat fries). These were to die
(t fail) for. The fries were cooked in duck fat and were crispy, crunchy and absolutely addictive. There was no way we could stop at just 1. We ended up finishing the entire thing and wanted even more.
The USA baby back pork ribs, HK$248 were succulent, tender and falls off the bone. The ribs were sooooooo awesome. It had a nice bbq sauce that complemented the rich, juicy and smoky pork ribs. Next time, I’ll come on an empty stomach to try the Canadian AAA ribs!
Seriously some bomb ass ribs and fries! Make your way to Kennedy Town and try them out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
