Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a piece of home! I used to go to Ruth’s Chris a lot back in the States, especially for celebrations, birthdays or just for a big, juicy piece of steak. This time for an early birthday celebration– we went to the Tsim Sha Tsui branch for a family feast. Mama Jann, Papa Jann, sis and me. I’ve heard hit or misses about the Ruth’s Chris chains in Hong Kong but luckily we feasted on a really good night. The food is definitely good albeit a bit pricey.
Sizzlin’ Blue Crab Cakes | Two jumbo lump crab cakes with sizzling lemon butter $180. We all devoured these within the first few minutes-juicy, plump, and flavourful.
Ruth’s Chop Salad | A Ruth Chris original, Julienne iceberg lettuce, baby spinach and radicchio are tossed with red onions, mushrooms, green olives, bacon, eggs, hearts of palm, croutons, bleu cheese, lemon basil dressing and then topped with crispy onions $120.
A lot of sides: macaroni and cheese, Julienne french fries, sauteed spinach, fresh broccoli and more!
Juicy 16- ounce Ribeye (450 grams) USDA Prime, well-marbled and packed with flavour $600. OMG. This was amazing. I can see why Ruth Chris is known for their steaks. The petit filet was not as good as we all hoped for. For the price and cut, the petit filet could have been a lot more juicy and tasty.
Julienne French Fries $90. I ate soooo many of these. Perfectly deep fried!
Mashed Potatoes with a hint of garlic $90. These were fluffy, soft and perfectly mashed.
SOOOO much food! Along with another cut of petit filet cut in the back. Tonight we feast.
Macaroni with cheese $90. Omg…must order. This baby was sooooo decadent, rich and savoury.
And a nice birthday cheesecake for moi!! <3 Thank you sis for this lovely meal!
