Jess’ Overall: 3 out of 5
Jess’ Tip: It’s a fun, loud, and yummy grub type of place! It’s a bit of a hit & miss though- The dishes are really hearty, and definitely a good place to share. But the prices do rack up. Some dishes are quite small- while others (SUCKLING PIG) are very big
SANGRIAS for the table!! Let this feast…Begin
Fresh FREE kettle corn flavored popcorn came piping hot to our tables! We munched away on these baby poppers. Loved that they served this instead of bread!
Next came a green bean, broad bean and sweet pea salad with crunchy baby lettuce hearts, creamy feta cheese and a rich, tangy bacon dressing. It was a nice, fresh refreshing salad.
Juicy, cheesy, (tomato) saucy, meatballs!
Mushroom & Asparagus Risotto- creamy, piping hot, and whisked smoothly. But its pretty average- nothing too spectacular
A side of Creamed Spinach! A too-fast snap of a juicy, milky spinach blend.
WOAH!!!!! Look at that SUCKLING PIG…..
From the “Rub n Tickle” portion we split the pork belly, cooked sous-vide- it was succulent, flavorful and so juicy. The crisp of the chip and fatty pork belly was such a perfect complement. The creamy Egg Potato Salad and mini coleslaw mix was a perfect accompanying side.
Salted Pig’s special- Crispy Pork Knuckle w/ grilled pumpkin, beets, and pickled vegetables.
Some more shots of this porky masterpiece. It’s large, VERY large. Easy to split and portion out.
Happy Birthday Cissy Jie!! Cousins night out!!!! Cakes galore!
<3 Always, Jess
