For those of you who don’t know me. I’m very, very close to my family. I’m fortunate enough to have an older sister, Janice that was living with me for the past 5+ years in HK. She’s moved away (now) but before she did- we had an epic sister trip at JW Marriot Phu Quoc, Vietnam. Miss you so much already sissy. 🙂
Here is a photo diary of our adventure in JW Marriot Phu Quoc!
JW Marriot Phu Quoc is only a short hour plane ride, quick car drive from HCMC! Once we arrived, we were greeted by an amazing staff & exquisite home away from home.
Designed by Famed Architect Bill Bensley- the special philosophy is that this resort doubles as the fictional historic Lamarck University. Each ‘campus’ = areas in the hotel has a unique vision and school theme. When you are in the shell building- every little decor is all about shells! Look at those cool colors above (that’s also the school track!)
They coined the beach as Emerald Bay.
Sis and I explored what we can only describe as one of the most ‘Instagram-able resorts!”
Each crevice at the JW Marriot Phu Quoc is filled with charm and details! Love the mesh of colors!
Right before dinner we spent an amazing 90 minutes at the SPA!! BEST MASSAGE IN A LONGG LONGGGGG TIME. You have to see the spa for yourself.
We had an amazing grilled seafood dinner at Red Rum!
After an awesome first day, it was time to rest and wake up refreshed for…
7am: SURF YOGA!!! We were exhausted at first. No one was at the beach yet, but it ended up being a really serene, uplifting and peaceful experience.
Look at just how crystal clear that water is. #Stunning
Successsss! We finished the surf yoga class
…and headed over to the breakfast buffet at Tempus Fugit for many different plates of food! The buffet spread is HUGE. We never got bored of going to the buffet.
After a very big breakfast- we headed out to the Emerald Bay. That’s my sad attempt at fishing. I didn’t catch any fishes.
A fresh and delicious seafood feast awaited us on board from the chefs at JW Marriot Phu Quoc!
We went snorkeling in the EMERALD BAY!!! You see the color, right? It’s incredible.
Finally around 4pm it was time to head back to the resort!! 😀 We both got ourselves a nice lil’ tan.
After an extremely relaxing shower and BATH (where I binged on Netflix’s One day at a time and sipped on some wine! Gosh…living the life <3) we got dressed for a cocktail mixology class which they offer guests at the resort. (That’s also my very sad attempt at a top knot.)
SISSSSSSSSSSY!!! Cocktail time! 😀
Can’t get enough of this beautiful resort 🙂
Whippin’ up a pandan cocktail 😀 I love that they offer mixology classes at the hotel. After a nice sister meal- we went back to the hotel to rest.
The next day, we started with a big ol’ buffet breakfast, went biking (which is another activity they provide for hotel guests.)
and spent some time lazing around the pool before…..
COOKING CLASS! Proud of this…I made that! 😉 Cook with JESS!!! Okay, this is a pretty simple dish but it was definitely a small victory.
Around 7pm we headed over to dinner at Tempus Fugit.
We ordered a mix of everything before heading back to our rooms to sleep!
OH NO! We’re nearing the end of our trip. Last day 🙁
We went back to the buffet area for breakfast but before saying g’bye to this amazing resort, we had to go pick up some Vietnamese coffee!
We hit the gym too! SOOOOOO SAD TO LEAVE! 🙁 Good bye amazing resort.
Grateful for EVERYTHING JW Marriot Phu Quoc. I definitely will be back. Thank you for taking so good care of us Chompu.
Was an amazing sister trip! Highly recommend coming here! 🙂
