I’ve been here a few times; for breakfast, for afternoon tea, for dinner too…but never for lunch! So one very lovely noon-time… my foodie bestie, Yu Jie and I headed on over to St Betty/ Betty’s Kitchen (once again).
Reunited w/ Yu Jie!! It seriously feels so good! What exactly did we order? FIND OUT….below 😉 A La Carte menu here we come!
Maca Smoothie-88HKD for Yu Jie! 🙂 Looked sweet, sinful, and swell! Maca, an ancient Peruvian herb, w/ white peach, milk and banana! YUM
Iced Latte-50HKD for moi! Look how pretty that is! There’s a huge block of ice in there too 🙂 Refreshing and perked me right up!
Hot bread rolls for the two of us! Fresh, warm, crunchy on the ouside- soft and light on the inside 😀
Appetizer-Ceviche of Hamachi, Daikon, Coriander, Avocade creme fraiche– 198HKD– This was light, refreshing, and just look how pretty it is! We gobbled it up, RIGHT AWAY! Good start!
Sauteed Spatzle, wild mushrooms, black truffle, Taleggio Cheese 198HKD– I loved this. It was plain (the spatzle pasta tastes like ‘nian gao’ rice cakes- sticky, chewy, hearty blended in with rich and decadent black truffles. I really liked it! The textures, the taste, and the blend was perfect!
Yu Jie on the other hand preferred this (below)…
Saffron Risotte w/ edamame, spring onions and parmesan- 168HKD- Trust me, you can’t be too off course with risotto. It was creamy, rich, and cheesy! However, a bit too salty for my taste.
Helmed by 2 Timed Michelin Starred chef Shane Osborn, Betty’s Kitchen has amazing decor, terrific atmosphere and good service! However, for the food… definitely on the pricier side ! I don’t know if I would be coming back for lunch anytime soon. Thanks again Yu Jie…for the great meal and conversation. We never stopped talking, not for one second 🙂 See you later today 😉 Actually…guess this meal was pretty priceless.
