The ORIGINAL Bubble Tea Boba is basically the BEST thing ever. If you know me- I LOVE me some boba milk tea. A delicious cold boba milk tea makes anything and everything better. From the sweet milky tea perfection taste up to slurping the last lonely boba ball or tapioca ball, pearl, bubble ball- it has loads of variations and which to this day- I’m still not sure what it is made up of, corn starch? What else is in there?! Oh you know what, who cares- I love it!!! But remember- everything in moderation. Don’t overdose on bubble milk tea. There is a saying: There can be too much of a good thing! So don’t over do it.

We also tried their signature minced pork over a bed of fresh noodles dish. (Which was PERFECTION. Could I possibly like this more than the famous minced pork over RICE!?)

Chun Shui Tang (春水堂) is a must try for any every bubble tea fanatic. The history behind it is enough already. Chun Shui Tang is known for being the birthplace of Boba Tea. In May 20, 1983, the founding store in Taichung- opened shop and served the first unprecedented cold tea drink. WOW. The world’s FIRST boba milk tea shop. Let’s just let that settle in. They are known for their famous original drink: Pearl Milk Tea (珍珠奶茶)

The past few times I’ve been back to Taipei and Taichung- I was lucky enough to have amazing hosts who always took me here. I also got to try their famous Chun Shui Tang in beautiful Tai Chung.


We ordered the beautiful fried pork chop in a fragrant soup broth and noodles with lots and lots of bean sprouts and spring onions!! #Perfection


The signature drink!!!!!!! BOBA MILK TEA! Woo HOO. Yes, it is out of focus. Yes, I was in a big hurry to gulp it down. Yes, I finished that all and went back for more. 😉


Must get. this was a deep fried crispy radish cake dish.


And some more noooooooodles! We pigged out. So next time you plan on making a trip to Taiwan: visit the origin of pearl milk tea: Chun Shui Tang (春水堂).
