I’m feeling the post-traveling bluessssss right about now! JK. I’m refreshed and ready for November. 🙂
I’m still in awe of my wonderful refresher trip to Four Seasons Koh Samui with KK! I’ve been to Thailand on multiple occasions. From food filled adventures in between filming Kickboxer: Retaliation in Bangkok to beach soaked days in serene Phuket. But Koh Samui, this was a first.
We arrived to Koh Samui around noon and quickly hopped into our car and headed to the resort. The Four Seasons resort in Koh Samui was definitely different than any other Thailand resorts I’ve been to before.
First off, it’s situated on an idyllic, private, lush and green tropical mountain!
Here I am soaking up all the good beach vibes and vitamin SEA that I can. 😉
12:20pm – A refreshing welcome drink (fresh dragon fruit juice)….
and a killer view from the Four Seasons check in area.
12:35pm – While our hotel room was getting fixed up- Golf, who helped us sooo much with this trip gave us a lovely tour of the hotel. Look at that pool from the 3 bedroom Residence villa tours.
1:00pm – We settled into our beautiful villa. #INheaven! The whole resort only has 60 villas and 14 private residences (of various sizes) for the guests to enjoy.
1:45pm – After a quick shower and some makeup and primping (on my part)….we were off to Koh Thai Kitchen and Bar for some authentic Thai dishes. Cocktail first please. I’m on vacay! 😉 Only time I can justify having alcohol so early in the day… ;D
2:20pm – An absolutely delicious first meal in Koh Samui. Gluttony at it’s best.
2:22pm – That whole pan fried sea bass was FIRE. The fish meat was soft, moist and sweet. Loved the sweet, sour and spicy sauce it comes with.
2:30pm – My favorite dish from the resort (throughout the entire trip I had this 4 TIMES! It’s THAT GOOD) was the Massaman wagyu beef curry. The beef is slow cooked for 4+ hours and is absolutely delicious. It’s the best Thai curry I’ve ever had.
2:50pm – Mango sticky rice with a scoop of coconut ice cream! Fantastic ending but I’m definitely feeling the food coma.
Then it was back to the room where I napped for a good 2+ hours (as you can tell, my food coma kicked in)….recharged for dinner and our rum tasting at CocoRum.
6:25pm – We called a buggy to head down to the private beach area. We were able to catch the magical pink sunset right before our rum tasting at the Rum Vault at CocoRum.
6:40pm – Four Season’s collection of rum is one of the biggest in all of Asia.
6:45pm – I learned a lot about rum and was lucky to try out some super special and limited collections of rum!!
7:10pm – Around 7pm we headed over to Pla Pla for steak night. Steak night is usually held at The Beach House but due to weather conditions was moved to Pla Pla.
7:15pm – YESSSSSSSSS! So hungry. I went with the wagyu striploin as my main course.
7:20pm – They also have a buffet area for all the starter selections! It was such a great meal, listening to the ocean waves and a romantic candle light dinner. Great first dinner at Pla Pla. There will be many more posts about my trip at Four Seasons Koh Samui. Stay tuned readers. 🙂
