Top 5 Ramen Spots in Hong Kong

The weather is getting chilly…perfect for Ramen! The top 5 Ramen spots in Hong Kong ?! I always have this question popping up and recently I had a crazy strong craving for ramen. (I didn’t do a Best Noodle in Hong Kong post because there are just toooo many choices and toooo many types of noodles but who knows…that post may be coming up!)

Here’s a short list of the top 5 ramen spots in Hong Kong. Let me know if you think I missed a spot.

Ichiran slays my breakfast, midnight and even into the late-late night hour cravings. Ichiran is infamous. When Ichiran first opened its doors in Causeway Bay- lines poured out the door: hours and hours you would have to wait! (I know. I can’t believe I waited so long- ahhh, who am I kidding, I’d still wait!) Now they opened up another shop next to the original CWB branch as well as a TST shop. You may still have to wait to slurp up their customisable famous pork bone broth (but at least now you have a chance to decide which shop!)

Ramen Iroha is another favourite of mine. They have a few bases to choose from- but their noodles are carb worthy, simple and satisfying.

Kamitora Ramen is a bit on the oily side but boy is it good- the original Kamitora ramen is awesome, with Kyushu-style straight noodles, veggies and a half cooked egg- but if you like spicy- go for that! Make sure you drink water…it is SPI- CAY!

Butao Ramen is the KING of ramen. How could I not include this beautiful hot mess. It’s possibly my favourite out of the entire bunch. Butao is uber famous for its extra-strong and flavourful pork bone broth. Warning though- extremely long lines. Once inside though, you can get your Butao ramen fix and customise your bowl in terms of richness, taste, toppings and thickness of the noodles!

The best: At home. Sometimes you just need to make your own ramen instant noodles, add your own toppings and slurp, chomp and carb up!

New goal!!!!! Continue to try out different places and hunt down the best ramen spots. I love ordering ramen noodles at work, for lunch or dinner!

Ramen on. 🙂 I’m a happy girl.
