Glasshouse in IFC sits on the rooftop area next to Iso Bar, Zentro and more. The food at Glasshouse is Asian with a Western twist. Glasshouse is one of the restaurants from the food giant Gaia Group who also helms Isono, Iso Bar, IVY, Joia, Townhouse, and GreyHound Cafe to name a few!
I went one evening with Veronica Li (you gotta check out her awesome fashion blog) and Kieran for bites, drinks and snap chats 😉
Fresh oysters (3 pieces) with Tom Yum, Guava and Lime juice! The tom yum sauce was delicious and went super well with the oysters! The lime juice was pretty good but the guava juice was definitely not for me.
We ordered 2 orders since 1 was not enough!
Rice Paper Roll. This was nice, light and fresh. I liked the pop from the salmon roe and burst of fresh, crisp flavors from the veggies.
Soft Shell Crab Salad. This was pricey for the amount you get. The soft shell crab was hot, crunchy and juicy- but the portion was a bit too tiny for me.
Lime Tempura Smelt Fish with Spicy Kimchi Mayonnaise. I really enjoyed these babies. The deep fried fish was sooooo addictive and you really can’t just stop at one piece. The fried batter was nice and thin but still had a great crunch to it!
Wagyu Beef Rump Steak with Black Truffle Fried Rice. This was also very good. The wagyu steak was tender and juicy and I really enjoyed the black truffle fried rice. The black truffle was fragrant and rich! Really enjoyed this.
Scallop Carpaccio was also pretty good! It was just a bit small but definitely enjoyed gobbling this up.
Last but not least was the Banana Creme Brûlée. Overall, the conversation and company were great!! The food at Glasshouse is pretty good but a little pricey for the amount you get.
